The Boatmaster Grade 3 course is designed for mariners who operate open vessels in protected waters, performing boating operations for services like hotel watersports, charters, commercial fishing, search and rescue operations, etc.
The participants will develop skills in seamanship, boat handling and stability, engine repairs and boat maintenance, basic navigation both digital and chartwork, weather and meteorology, emergency procedures and passenger safety, Regulations for Preventing Collision at Sea, prevention of pollution and local regulations.
Duration of this course is 5 days and includes 3 days of classroom theory and 2 days of practical boat handling. There are 2 separate exams after each module – written theory exam and practical assessment.
Upon successful examination the student will receive a certificate of completion from Second Star Sailing and will be eligible to receive a License of Boat Master Grade 3 from ADOMS.
