Meet our sailboats!

At the Caribbean base, you will have chance to sail on Hatha Maris, Blue Moon or Surya Noctis. Each vessel has its own charm, character, and handling quirks — no two boats are the same. But rest assured, all of them meet RYA standards for teaching and are inspected annually to ensure they’re shipshape.

While you don’t get to pick your boat for the course — our school plays matchmaker — you can be sure that whichever boat you hop on, you’ll have a fantastic time. We take great pride in maintaining our sailboats and can’t wait to welcome you on board for an unforgettable experience!

Hatha Maris is a Dufour 40’ performance, a 12-metre boat that sails easily in all conditions, and ideal to learn on for beginners and advanced students alike. Her lines run aft, so the great majority of all manoeuvres can be handled easily form the teak cockpit. Hatha Maris carries a full complement of safety equipment.  The layout is a 3 double occupancy cabins. Every cabin has USB outlets and fans. The two heads each have showers and there is also an outside shower with hot/cold water.   The comfortable saloon shares space with the galley, which is equipped with a two-burner stove and oven, a water maker, solar panels, and a saltwater foot pump.  The 12v fridge keeps food cool even in the tropics!

Blue Moon is our Grand Soleil 43’, a 13-metre boat with classic lines and full teak decks.  She slices through waves gracefully and has been across the Atlantic a couple of times east to west and west to east. Her layout is made up of 3 double-occupancy cabins, with an ample fore cabin with its own head. Every cabin has USB outlets and fans. The two heads each have showers and there is also an outside shower with hot/cold water.   The comfortable saloon shares space with the galley, which is equipped with a two-burner stove and oven, a water maker, and a saltwater foot pump and solar panels. Blue Moon is a pleasure to sail, cruise, or simply be on at anchor.

Surya Noctis is our Dufour 44, a 13.5 metre ocean-going vessel which was refitted extensively in 2021 as a liveaboard boat.  Since we acquired it in 2023 it has had a few features changed, and now is our mileage and Atlantic crossing vessel. Surya has 4 cabins – 3 doubles and a bunk bed berth, two heads, a water maker, a washing machine, solar panels, a Watt & Sea generator, a comfortable saloon with a new stove and oven, inside and outside showers, and davits for the dinghy.  She also has two furling foresails and a furling gennaker.
