The most loved and picturesque coastline in Liguria
This is a sail, hike & have fun trip, which will allow you to enjoy sailing and viewing the coast up close by sailboat, then even closer should you choose to hike the Via dell’Amore and visit the five amazing fishing towns of Cinque Terre.
Please note that our trips changes depending on the date and our client requests… if you are interested contact us and we can work with you to find the right combination.
This trip begins at our base in Pisa, at the new marina, and after a safety and boat brief, we sail up the coast to gulf of La Spezia, for a late lunch, and head out its beautiful bay to the very top of the Cinqueterre area, sailing up past the picturesque towns of Riomaggiore, Manarolo, Corniglia, Vernazza to reach Monterosso, where you will have the opportunity to disembark and begin your hike from town to town. We can help you pack a delicious lunch to take with you or you can try the Trattorias and the local shop offerings. Depending on the group, and the timing and interest, you can hike the whole Sentiero, including the famous Via dell’Amore, or you can choose to only hike a portion of it and have a glass of wine at one of the local Enoteca- or maybe rent a scooter or a vespa and do a portion of it that way (without mixing wine and scooters… it is a very windy road). Whatever you choose, we could pick you back up at one of the other towns along the way. We will then find a great spot to watch the sunset and/or give you time to change and go help you back ashore to go explore and maybe have a dinner of freshly caught fish, be it in one of the more upscale restaurants in lovely Porto Venere or some other place you have found during the day.
The area is a protected marine park and therefore we cannot spend overnight at anchor in the bays, so please enquire what your specific trip dates might hold. The long weekend trip might then include an evening sail back into Porto Venere or to stay at anchor near Palmaria, or we could help you find a local Agriturismo or hotel on shore. The next day might include, after a nourishing breakfast, hiking back up any portion you did not have a chance to hike or just enjoying the island of Palmaria, its “cale” and bays and going for a swim and a snorkel, maybe even watching a regatta in the bay unfold. We will disembark in the late afternoon either in La Spezia or back in Pisa in the evening depending on the group.
You can find a nice map of the Sentieri by the Consorzio Turistico Cinque Terre here to help you figure out the layout of the coast and towns.
Please note that the proposed itinerary is always subject to change due to weather conditions and your Skipper’s judgment.
Should you have a full group hire, we can work with you to modify the trip to better suit your needs or include extras from our other offerings. And if you are interested in additional activities, sports or equipment, we can help arrange that for you – as always, just ask.
